Stay one chapter ahead of school: the Stoodant method

Stoodant team · Published 26 October 2026

Children who have already met a topic listen better in school, ask sharper questions and feel confident. It's the core of how Stoodant teaches: preview first, revise when school reaches it, so every idea is learnt twice.

Why previewing works

When a child meets a new idea for the first time in a busy classroom, most of the lesson goes into just following along. If they have already seen it, the school lesson becomes a second explanation, and gaps close on their own.

A simple weekly routine at home

  • Sunday: check which chapters school will start next.
  • Twice a week, 20 minutes: read the next chapter's opening pages and examples together.
  • Once a week: try three or four easy questions from the new chapter.
  • After school covers it: revise with the end-of-chapter exercises.

Keep it light

The goal is familiarity, not mastery. Praise effort, keep sessions short, and stop before your child gets tired.

Let Stoodant do the previewing

Stoodant classes are built around this method. Our teachers introduce the next school chapter with real-world examples before school reaches it, then revise it with practice when school does. Your child walks into every lesson already knowing the story.

Our teachers are a new generation of educators: doctors and medical students, a UPSC Prelims qualifier, a CAT qualifier, a psychology graduate and school toppers. They bring real experience from medicine, civil services, management and research into every class.
